Importance of X Rays in Nursing Homes

In nursing homes most of the residence residents are older and susceptible to catch infections therefore it is required for every individual who are admitting in nursing home should be screened for TB.

We as a mobile service provider are capable of performing chest X-ray onsite providing comfort to the individual who are is going through the process of admission in nursing homes. Most of the elderly residents are dependent on others while onsite screening makes their admission to nursing home easy and comfortable.

Elderly residents are also susceptible to get fracture by providing onsite X Ray makes it easy for physicians for making the timely decision to either keep them in nursing home or send to fracture clinic.

Chest X-ray is very important in diagnosing Pneumonia and will allow physician to see lungs, heart and blood vessels to help determine if the resident have pneumonia. When While interpreting the x ray the our radiologist will look for white spots in the lungs called infiltrates that identifies the infection.

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs that can be serious in older adults. In US nearly 250,000 peoples are hospitalized with pneumonia each year and about 50,000 die from the disease according to the centers for disease control and prevention (CDC).

We are completely digitalized. Once we received the requisition our back office assigns the exam to the technologist and we try to perform the exam on the same day if possible otherwise the next day. In case of x ray our turnaround time is within 24 to 72 hours i.e. once we receive the requisition we try our level best to provide the report as soon as possible.

All of our Vehicles are equipped with internet, so as soon as the images are taken we send the images to radiologist right away without delay in case of stat cases for example dislocation or fracture or pneumothorax, the technologist give his opinion to charge nurse and report follows with in few hours in most cases.

Although we are non-emergency service provider but we try to minimize the emergency visits.
